A libertarian podcast where ranting is optional, and smashing the state is mandatory.

Our flailing, feverish (maybe just Lucy) panel discussed the ethics of blowing up the Death Star, then talked for a long while about cops, the backlash against cops, and the backlash against that since the murder of two NYPD officers on December 20. We then noted the depressing with which we all forgot about the now-“ended” war in Afghanistan, and mused on solutions to being a militarized society with a short attention span. After that we gave a little time to the idea of a basic income, without getting into a full econ war with Mike. We topped things off with a chat about things we enjoyed that weren’t politics during the past week or year, depending on mood.
Host: Lucy Steigerwald, writer for VICE, Antiwar.com, and Rare; editor in chief of The Stag Blog; @LucyStag
Panel:
Mike Miller, singer/songwriter/main dude for Endless Mike and the Beagle Club, maker of one of Lucy’s favorite albums of all time, big damn hippie anarchist, but that’s okay, we like him anyway.
Joe Steigerwald, managing editor and technical wizard of The Stag Blog; bassist for Act of Pardon; @steigerwaldino
Michelle Montalvo, not an intern, has a Doctor Who mug, surprisingly not laconic; @michellemntlv

A libertarian panel show hosted by Lucy Steigerwald, where ranting is encouraged, and smashing the state is mandatory.

This time around, we chatted about ebola, Rand Paul vs. Ron Paul, Ayn Rand, war, space aliens, and other vital libertarian topics. We did not chat about how my sopping wet hair made me look like a drowned rat, but we DID discuss the amazingness of my new t-shirt. We also talked about Bloom after he left, and made fun of him for having a blog url that nobody can say.

-Adam Berkeley: libertarian-sympathetic friend who knows foreign policy and hates DC.

Our cranky, liberty-loving panel trashed necons, Mark Ames, Buzzfeed, and warmongering. We talked of the partisan politics of distrusting the police. We spoke of Buzzfeed, and whether plagiarism in clickbait is such a moral failing. And we discussed Bloom’s’s Daily Caller piece on interventionists’ attempts to rebrand themselves, and the ensuing spat with the Washington Free Beacon.

Our cranky, liberty-loving panel discussed warmongers, necons, Israel, and other depressing news of the day, then wrapped it up with a comic chat about the impending death of Archie, and the new female status of Thor.

Our cranky, liberty-loving panel discussed Iraq’s rough past and future and libertarianism’s occasionally disappointing reactions to war; then Jesse Walker offered his take on the Las Vegas shooting by apparent anti-government right-wingers, the rest of us joined in on refuting left-wing panic over right-wingers, then we wrapped things up with a chat about the weirdness of enjoyable media with politically incorrect messages. Other highlights: Jesse tells a long story about Nazis who make great sandwiches, I demonstrate that I have no idea the meaning of the word “foment”, and Cory remains the worst.
